'Bright World' | Gavin O'Donoghue

'Bright World' is influenced by world culture and life. The exhibition consists of a series of acrylic paintings exploring colour and life, aiming to bring a bit of brightness into a dismal summer.

"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it'd be easy, they just said it'd be worth it"

-- Not my words but it makes a lot of sense

"Through much experimentation I have developed my own style. The main theme that binds my paintings together is the theme of life. My aim in my paintings is to capture mood and feeling. I want the painting to grab the eye of the holder as soon as they enter the room and hold their attention. I want the viewer to feel the emotion, mood, and energy as they look at it. I get new ideas for paintings every day. I find inspiration in random places all the time. I often have the idea of the final painting as i make a starting point but it may vary a lot as i progress through the painting.

Gavin O'Donoghue is a self taught artist based in Dublin. This is his first solo exhibition.
