Somewhere not here… | Michael and Brendan Power

This joint exhibition by brothers Michael and Brendan Power reflects their combined creative interests of painting, drawing, photography, wood carving and pyrography. For both these interests are their place to find their own time and creative space. Both are centred in figurative approaches but have their own unique styles.

Michael Power’s large scale figurative work mainly comes from interests in Political and Social issues to daily issues around Modern Life. He is aiming to paint paintings which engage the observer to view these matters away from other media formats and strike independent thoughts in the viewer.

Brendan Power’s Wood Carving and Pyrography pieces are influenced by mythology, nature, life experiences and the use of his imagination.

The exhibition runs from 15th - 29th of February at the Crow Gallery, Temple Bar. Open Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Opening on Friday 15th at 7pm.
